Types of Barcode Scanner

Linear and Laser barcode scanners, the aiming line needs to be horizontally through the barcode.
Omni Directional and 2D barcode scanners, will scan in any orientation. 2D will read poorly printed and damaged barcodes.
What type of barcode are you scanning:
Linear Barcodes are found on products. 2D are found on packages on phones for promotions, medical equipment.
